    About Us:

  • Motherhood Care Nepal (MC Nepal) is a non-political and non-profit making child focused social organization. A group of self-inspired individuals with a strong motive to work for the well-being of the orphaned and vulnerble children out of their limited strength and capacity gave birth to this organization in 2003 at the time while the country was going through hard times of internal conflict on political cause. Due to political conflict and fragmented society, children were being separated from the families or were at high risk of victimized.

With a humanitarian prospective of providing motherly care to the orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable children, Motherhood Care Nepal started its activity by operating a Child Care Home in 2003. To provide a safe shelter, education and healthcare to those children who were in a great need were its main objectives to bring the Care Home in operation.

The objective of organization based on welfare-approach for the protection of children has been transformed to right-based. The Child Protection System is broadly defined and understood in the present scenario.

However, we centralize our concern and strength for children’s access to their basic rights to education, health and grow in families. It is therefore MC Nepal steps straight for minimizing the hardships of the children and work for meeting the children’s need first.

Dedicated to protecting and ensuring the rights of vulnerable children, focusing on providing holistic support through education, health care, protection, psycho-social services, and vocational and life skills training to create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential. The organization is registered in Lalitpur District Administration Office and affiliated with Social Welfare Council of Nepal. A team of 7-members board committee and an Executive Director play a crucial role in the governance, strategic direction, and oversight of the organization.
